What we collect

FootGssr is designed to work without personal accounts. When you play we store: the username you choose (if any), your daily score, the number of clues used, the game date, and an anonymous device token used to prevent duplicate leaderboard entries. We do not collect your name, email address, IP address or precise location.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your language preference, chosen username and today's game progress so you don't lose it on refresh. We do not use first-party tracking cookies.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

FootGssr displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info.

For users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google will ask for consent before storing advertising cookies via its consent management system.

Third-party services

We host our leaderboard on Supabase (EU region) and serve the site through Cloudflare. These providers may process minimal technical data (such as request headers) purely for delivery and abuse prevention. See Google's advertising policies for details on their processing.

Your rights

You may ask us to delete the leaderboard entry associated with your username at any time by emailing contact@footgssr.xyz. Because we don't hold contact details, we can't email you back about anything else.
